Hal + Dan.
September 29, 2018.
It was on a crisp autumn day in Coon Valley, Wisconsin that Hal & Dan said their vows to one another. She wore a vintage flounced linen skirt atop a beautifully laced dress, and he a simple yet sharp blue suit with his curls pulled back into a bun. These two were celebrating not only their commitment to one another but a fall frost had brought their first farming season to a close. The vegetable + flower beds had been put to rest and they were free of the responsibilities that come with owning a farm (if only for a little while) to gather with friends and loved ones. Everything about this wedding spoke of detail and attentiveness. Hal had hand dyed her linen burgundy shawl using natural dyes, her florist worked to forage and utilize only local flora, supporting the natural ecosystem and economy in southern Wisconsin. Their friends and family chose the music that played and a simple, crackling fireplace brought together folks young and old alike to share stories of the newly weds.
